Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, made a statement during his visit to Adıyaman, which was affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, and said, "Rest assured, there is no other nation in the world that can overcome such a disaster. Minister Mehmet Özhaseki attended the simultaneous mass opening ceremony of the nation gardens completed in 9 cities at the "9 Million Saplings Meet the Soil" event organized within the scope of Turkey Environment Week in Adıyaman, where he came to make a series of programs and inspections.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the program via live video conference system.

Speaking at the program, Minister Özhaseki emphasized that they held the first program in Adıyaman after the formation of the new cabinet and said, "Adıyaman was one of the provinces that suffered the most damage especially in the earthquake regions. Since that day, many of our friends have endeavored to heal the wounds under the leadership of our President. May God be pleased with them, thanks to their efforts. But our loyal compatriots from Adıyaman, our selfless compatriots and our grateful compatriots. Do not think that we have forgotten you. "We will continue to open nation gardens in groups"
Minister Özhaseki stated that the number of nation gardens that give Turkey a breath of fresh air will be increased day by day and said, "We are making so many nation gardens that we are only symbolically inaugurating one of them here. We are currently under construction in 303 places. In addition, our nation garden construction has been completed in 180 places and is waiting for its opening. We will continue to open them in groups of 9, 10. We will breathe here, there is life here. But on the other hand, when God forbid a disaster strikes, these will be our gathering areas, our shelter areas. We also have a wide range of activities on zero waste and clean sea. We are the ummah of a generation, the ummah of a prophet who said 'plant saplings even if you know the apocalypse will come'. These words are not in vain. As the ummah of that prophet, we will inshallah make the world green, keep it clean and protect our environment as much as we can."
In the program, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended live via video conference system, Minister Özhaseki cut the opening ribbon of 9 nation gardens with a total size of 1 million 466 thousand square meters, including Adıyaman Nation Garden, Giresun Bulancak Nation Garden, Düzce Cumayeri Nation Garden, Bursa Harmancık Nation Garden, Bolu Gerede Nation Garden, Afyonkarahisar Şuhut Nation Garden, Adana Aladağ Nation Garden, Sivas Şarkışla Nation Garden, Erzincan Tercan district Camiişerif Nation Garden.
