Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki announced zero waste gains with a post on his social media account.
Minister Özhaseki's message is as follows:
With our Zero Waste movement, which we started under the auspices of the esteemed EmineErdogan, we protect our common home, our world, for our children, the owners of our future.
From 2017 to today with Zero Waste;
We recycled 45.5 million tons of waste,
We saved 432 million trees from being cut down,
We prevented 4.9 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions,
We saved energy, water, oil and storage space,
We achieved economic gains 96 billion TL.
